Well, quite sadly, my lovely salon quality straightener that my sister had given to me years ago finally died... blades won't stay put, other bits were falling off... I was therefore stuck with a crappy Vidal Sassoon straightener I bought in 10th grade on vacation... which fills my bathroom with the smell of burning hair whenever I use it.
I really did not have much money for a top quality straightener right now, so I want to Target and grabbed one that looked just decent.
I just did the first test run (usually I only straighten my bangs, but for curiosity's sake, I did the whole thing), and my hair feels AMAZING! I hadn't even noticed 'til now just how much having a broken straightener was frying my hair... (even before falling apart, that super expensive one had blades that would slide out and dangle by their wiring... not really safe, but I used it anyway... result? Lots of frizzy, staticy hair that felt kinda brittle)... my hair feels just as smooth as it did before I straightened it, and it kinda looks like something out of a shampoo commercial.
So, here's the straightener everyone can afford to get right now, that really does do the job (and hey, guess what, it's on sale now! Sale price shown on website, but it was NOT posted at the store, so I got a happy surprise at checkout):

Have I mentioned I love Target? A lot?
